I Turned on my Heat Today

That's right, I actually did it. And how liberating it is, to flick that little switch from "cool" to "heat" -- it's finally Fall! Looking out my window, it's so grey -- grey trees, grey buildings, grey cars, grey streets, just grey. I love it.

I'm taking advantage of this free day (well, aside from teaching later) to continue two of my Herculean projects: Transferring FOUR CD binders onto my computer (making sure they are all appropriately named, categorized with genre, album art, and compilation), and working on my knitting projects for the holidays. Why on earth did I agree to knit something for every single person I work with?

Ughh......

So I'm making a hat for John. He's one of the few people that I know will appreciate his gift. He cleans houses and he's bald (not that those two things have anything in common), so it'll be nice for him to have something on his head this winter.

Ooh, the heater smells weird. Huh.

It's funny, this whole knitting thing -- it seems like I've been knitting and knitting and knitting, and I've *always* got something on the needles. But when I look around my apartment, I don't see mounds of knitted stuff! Oh, wait -- I give most of this stuff away. Silly me.

Well, I did complete my MASSIVE SCRAP BLANKET project. I'm wrapped up in it right now, actually. :) It's also very liberating to plan out a project and execute it from start to finish. Oh, and to use up mostly all my little scraps makes me quite happy. Go stash busting!

Once the weather gets a little brighter (and I figure out how to get the suck out of my photo-taking skills), I'll be posting photos of my projects. And yes, as promised MONTHS ago, patterns! Hurray!

But until then, I've got to keep ripping CDs.
