Ughghg. I'm soooooooo glad that the doctor told me to stay home for a week. Not that I feel horrible, or even "sick" per se, but just general malaise is the best way to put it. Right now, I feel a little disoriented, just a touch of dizziness. Tee hee! I don't usually get that, so it's kind of fun. Perhaps a side-effect of the medication? Hmm... probably.
Other than slight feelings of perpetual wonkiness (and my inability to spell correctly), I've been passing the time by catching up on podcasts and various projects. While I should be doing nothing but my Christmas knitting (and any other things, for that matter), I can't help but think that Im owed something -- don't I get to do what I want since I'm sick? I mean, not whatever I want, but I should get to decide what to do to pass the time! Right? Riiiiiiiight?
That's what I thought -- thanks for being on board. I'm a little addicted to making these cute little things called Hamsterbeans. They are the brainchild of quirky knit designer Emily Stoneking, and her website can be found here. The pattern for these cute little suckers is incredibly easy -- it uses up a minuscule amount of yarn and only features a tiny amount of embellishment. I wish I had the cute little plastic eyes, but I'm making do without them.
I think I will make 100 of these today.
But seriously, they are extremely fun to make! I stuff them with a little polyfil, but mostly with these little cheap silvery beads that I've had forever and, frankly, can't imagine ever using on any project ever again. It's great! They come out so plump and cute, and make that gratifying beanbag sound when you throw them! Ha ha!!!!
Not that I would ever throw one of my precious creations....
>;)
Until next time!
